Postcard_HalloweenIf you dare, spend an evening at Indianapolis’ famed Crown Hill Cemetery. As darkness falls on its historic headstones, you’ll be immersed in spine-tingling tales of the dead and undead. You won’t be the only one looking over your shoulder when the stories end.

Arrive early (gates open at 6:30 p.m.) to find your piece of hallowed ground. We recommend bringing a blanket, lawn chairs, and feel free to pack a cooler and picnic basket if your stomach can take it. Several food trucks also will be on site. The event will be held rain or shine under a large tent, but the sun will be long gone by the time it’s over. And if you want to make sure you can find your way out, don’t forget a flashlight.

Please use the entrance at 34th Street and Boulevard Place, since the north gate will be closed. Parking is free.Lewis & Kappes

Check out the RIP Reception from 5 – 7 p.m. before the ghost stories start!
